Le Riche is excited to be running a campaign this year to celebrate our family and winemaking heritage. With September being Heritage Month in South Africa, we pay homage with our Richesse, a blend that honours this tradition. A combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsaut, the Richesse is a traditional Heritage Blend that has been produced since the early 1900s.
Nature conservation has always been dear to our hearts. Our earlier family members were instrumental in the establishment of the Kalahari Gemsbok Park (now the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park), becoming its first game rangers in the mid-1930s. This legacy was maintained for over 60 years, with a Le Riche serving as game ranger at the helm of the park.
To celebrate both our conservation and winemaking heritage, Le Riche Wines will donate 5% of all Richesse bottle sales displaying the promotional sticker to the Game Rangers’ Association of Africa (GRAA). Founded in 1970, the GRAA is Africa’s oldest and most representative ranger association, supporting over 6,000 rangers.
Make a difference and help us contribute to the well-being of not only South African, but African rangers at large. They play a vital role in protecting our continent, wildlife and communities.
When purchasing a bottle of Richesse with this sticker displayed, know that Le Riche has contributed 5% of the value to the GRAA in support of our game rangers and to help raise awareness around the conservation of our land.
In an additional showcase of support, Le Riche pledges to purchase 10 pairs of ranger boots from Jim Green Footwear, which will be donated to the GRAA. In turn, Jim Green donates an additional pair of boots, equipping rangers in need for their everyday tasks.
